As a new fashion minimalist, I want to be aware of every piece of clothing that fills wardrobe. Why? Well, holding onto an old sweater from high school means that I'm attached to an in object and not the actual memory. I'm currently in the process of decluttering my wardrobe and am realizing I don't own pieces that suit me. So, after I budgeted my money, I went into H&M and purchased a new top (and dress) that I can update my wardrobe.

Usually, I've never been a huge fan of Spring or Summer fashion because that means I have to put away my Winter coats. Although outwear is my favorite fashion category, I do have to say I'm excited to stop layering and show off my arms with this new Minimal Spring 2017 Fashion Trend

The Spring off-the-shoulder trend adds life to a minimal top. I love H&M's jersey top because of the rich navy color. Since, I wear trousers or jeans on the daily, I wanted a top that would add to the structure of the outfit. The shoulder ties capture an on-looker's attention in a bold way. I paired the top with black because I love mixing two dark colors.

Minimalist Fashion Tip: Get tops with structure and a neutral color that you can wear repeatedly. Also, make sure to look at the fabrication of those pieces so you get the most out of your cost per wear.

If you need to update your wardrobe, you can shop the look and see the gorgeous light blue, navy, and black off-the-shoulder tops.
